Volunteer Overview
Loaves and fishes is a community based event that provides a hot dinner to people in the area each Wednesday at 6PM.
Although the event is located at the Eagle River Presbyterian Church located at 455 Nottingham Ranch Road, Avon, CO 81620 (Across the train track from Walmart) this is a non-faith based event and people from any (Or no) faith are welcome to eat and to volunteer.
Group leaders are free to make an announcement to introduce themselves and their mission (Reason for volunteering) or offer a short prayer before the dinner although this is not a requirement of participation (Most groups simply volunteer for their own karma - Whatever that may entail for the group) - A large monitor is also available should a group wish to display the name of their organization or an inspirational message for the duration of the dinner.
Although this dinner helps people who may otherwise not be in a position to cook a hot meal it is open to all who wish to attend - We serve a hot meal and offer a warm hand of friendship to anybody and everybody.
(A tax receipt can be provided for expenses upon request. Alternatively, group leaders can receive reimbursements for expenses upon submission of appropriate receipts).
